A reduction in traffic emissions (both NOx and VOCs) in equal proportion will impose negative effects on O3 pollution. In order to effectively reduce O3 pollution, we need to pay more attention to controlling VOC emissions.

The increase of street aspect ratio greatly increases the exposure risk of NO2. The exposure risk of O3 in the deep street canyon decreases below Z/H = 0.5 at the windward side. The indoor and pedestrian-level exposure risk of NO2 is much larger than that of O3.
